Wow! Thankyou for telling me why it was deleted. I don't mind so much if I know why. Actually, it was worse than you thought. That picture wasn't extracted at all, that was the original background colour. And I couldn't figure out the gradients, I just cut and pasted the colour from the corner of the original picture. I haven't got Photoshop, I've got Paint Shop Pro and Gimp. So I'm sure you were totally justified in deleting my other pictures, too, I was just annoyed because there was no explanation, just a message saying it wasn't good enough. Thanks for the advice, I'll put my pictures in the sandbox from now on (if I can figure out how...).

LuthienRapier, as you had wrote an extensive comment on your Tsubasa Chronicle wallpaper, I will explain to you exactly why I decided to slate that wallpaper for deletion.

That wallpaper failed to meet the standards of quality and effort. The scan you selected was not of an acceptable quality, was not properly cleaned, and was not well-extracted; these are things that you should practice before tossing them into the galleries as wallpapers. As for effort criteria, your wallpaper basically boiled down into three steps: apply gradient, place extracted scan, input text. Simplistic and clean wallpapers are certainly acceptable, but wallpapers that are elementary are not.

That said, I strongly urge you to practice using Photoshop. To clean scans, learn to make use of layer duplicating, smart blurs, and murging. When extracting, zoom in at least to 400 percent and use the polygonal lasso tool for fine control (i.e. never use the magic wand). Then, toss your works up in the Sandbox to test the waters, and if things look good there, then go ahead and submit.

Glad to be of service ...out of curiosity...what program are you using to make walls? Photoshop does come with some decent simple fonts...although nothing really fancy...depends on what suits your wall
